There was a tipping point when launch costs come down to about $200 to $300 a kilogram. In principle, it was going to get cheaper to put it in space than on the ground...About $1,000 a kilogram is the cost of a Falcon 9, reusable Falcon 9. So we're about three or five X off.

Why it matters
